| You don't mention the actual age of the disposal. Was the house new when you moved in two years ago? You also don't mention the hp. 1/2 hp units are not built very tough. Disposals are like tractors- there's no substitute for horsepower. If you don't know how old it is, then probably best to throw it out and install the biggest, meanest one you can find.
