Iowa | use GOOD needles, not aluminum hub ones--they bend/break too easily. I have switched to "highly detectable" needles--scanners at the packing plant can find them and they are much less prone to breaking off. And I second the advise on using a large diameter needle--product goes in faster and if you have all the air out of the system the product will still stay put. Leaking out is a sure sign of air in the system somewhere.
Do you use a good auto-dose syringe? I like Hauptner for a 50 cc pistol-grip and "Prima-tech" for when we give hundreds of shots and that way we can just hook the bottle to it. The Prima-tech can be bought with an auto-marking system and the best part is they are pretty decent and CHEAP--$24 last week for a 2cc adjustable w the marking system. 5cc is same price.
After 10,000 or so doses, you'll be MUCH better at it!! | |
