Purchased an 05 Silverado about 2 months ago and now the brakes sometimes squeal very badly. I checked out the pads & shoes and they look great, scuffed them up )de-glazed them) & re-installed them, still squeak. Has anyone else ran into this? If so, were you able to remedy the situation? TIA!

Use only synthetic brake grease on the slider pins, no antiseize. Are you cleaning the split between the pad? Also lube the tabs the pads sit on.

Also, if you live in the salt belt, go get the updated front pin kit for the calipers, assuming yours are removable only with a torx. The new ones are an 18mm socket. I believe.
