Bob, once you get it clean by whatever method, I recommend Tilex shower spray. Every time you take a shower, or the last person of the day to take a shower just sprays down the shower. It doesn't get that build up of scum then. Works for us, even converted my mother in law and she is pretty old school.
I have a better/cheaper solution. When you are done your shower, just rinse off all the walls. You obviously need a shower head on a hose, but this alone eliminates nearly all build up in my experience.
If you are diligent with this strategy, if take forever to get a build up.
It has been nearly 2 years since I have cleaned my surround it looks perfect.
This will not eliminate hard water, but my water is naturally soft (8 grains of hardness with no softener). |
