You won't get nuked by me...I like our EZsteer alot, but agree with you on the motor hanging on the steering wheel. We actually changed our 8300 Deere to an Outback for just that reason...the EZsteer trashed the plastic steering column on the 8300, because of all the weight and torque. We put the EZsteer in the planter tractor (4450) and the sprayer tractor (4250) with simple round steel steering columns, and in those applications, it's mounted solid enough that it works just fine. I'll never put it on anything else with a plastic column.
Jury's still out on which one we like better.
