Southeast Colorado | I take that to mean he buys a put while simultaneously selling an out of the money call to help pay for some of the put. It does put a ceiling on the amount of run-up in the market you get to participate in but if your merely looking at protecting the down side then it is definitely a respectable and more economical strategy than just outright paying a huge premium for the option. | |
