Middle TN | Was in a country store a couple days ago where the store owner was complaining about the increase in cost of product that he is expecting to face because of corn prices. He had been reading a trade magazine that explained how most everything in the store used corn.
I grabbed a 2oz bag of corn chips and did some quick math pretending that the chips were 100% corn. 8 bags from 1lb. 448 bags per bu. a bag cost 0.89 times 448 = 398.72 from a 7.00 bushel of corn.
He didn't know how to respond. | |
