SW Iowa | Dad's old Schweiss does not need the button held. The one we put on the shop in '10 needed to be held. Scheiss will tell you how to wire it to open with the push of the button, but you need to figure it out how to wire it to go all the way down. There is no way to stop if someone is in the way. An electrician helped us rewire the door to work like the old one.
I've been around hyraulic doors, and they are no faster, at least the ones I've been around. Plus the ones I've been around, you have to hold the darn valve after you turn on the pump.
