Subject: Translating Bushels into kg?

Alentejo, Portugal
I´m here on NAT a while now and i read all the time about yields. Bushel per acre... Now we europeans use the metric system. When we harvest corn or grain we say it yielded x kilograms per hectare. I never was really sure how much a bushel actually is... Now there was a post below of someone asking a conversion for HP per shank or something like that. There was a link to a site that has all kinds of conversions you want. So i put bushel in the search and a lot of results came out. So it sais 1 bushel is a little over 35 liters and in weight, about 35 kg. Now i cannot believe that...

Is there someone that can tell me the exact conversion?

TIA Dennis
