As long as its a true hedge and he has the commodity then he would be a fool to lift it. The only thing he is subject to loosing is the interest on his money required to fulfill his margin calls. In 2008 I rode a hedge from 5.00 all the way to 7.99 high and when i finally sold out corn was trading with a 3 in front of it.
