Grabill, Indiana | I have been dealing with low fat DDGS with my swine feeding customers. This is a big challenge for hog farmers that have relied on DDGS to reduce ration costs. The "new" DDGS is almost worthless for hog farmers as the energy level is no longer there. Unfortunately there are no readily available alternative feed ingredients to easily reduce diet costs. Wheat at over $8 is not an option, Bakery and other food co-products are all priced based on corn and have variable availability.
