E.Central MN | Everyone criticizes farmers who don't use the futures markets to hedge production, why wouldn't it be likely that the crop insurance companies have some type of hedges in place to protect them from big losses? Same thing for large end users of grain. If they had hedged back when the govt released their report on 95+ million acres of 166 bu corn then they'd be sitting ok now. | |
