From my experience, when there is significant firing on the ear leaf before blister stage, significant damage is done. As in 50% + Hope I'm wrong.


Sure. But 50% from what? The 300 potential it had when it was dumped out of the bag? I've seen corn like that go ahead and broil into crap, and I've seen corn that was waaay uglier with ears tipped back 3 inches catch a big late rain and make super deep kernels and pretty respectable yields. You are on the center of the teeter totter right now waiting to see which side drops.
