Could be because we ALL know this crop is downhill and quick. Normally we'd have scattered rains throughout each state and argue over productions.
When it doesn't rain over 3" for a 1-2month total for most people in the cornbelt, i could see why nobody is trying to go off the beaten course. Only varying opinion now is final productions numbers and how high the price will go
