Well the drought and nearby Nashville IL were the lead story on tonights nbc nightly news. I have often heard that drought markets top when the national news starts reporting it.
I don't know if that will be the case now and don't really care. My corn looks just like that shown on the tv, there won't be much of anything to sell here anyway. What would be best for me personally would be a top in October.


For many producers there won't be much to sell, so you aren't alone. The fall insurance price is going to be a huge factor on nationwide farm income. As far as the top is concerned, it was a forecast away, but it's getting late for rain to change things in some places.
