west tn | Pretty much the same here shucks brown and ears turned down .Looked a field of dk 63-87 earlier 14 around and 17 long pop at 29k Some lighter ground no ears at all.Think we will be shelling by last week in july if weather stays like this.Friend of mine is a crop ins adjuster estmated yield in a county north of me at 36bpa.I was nine in 1980 and remember daddy talking about 30bpa corn that year.Some of our earlier corn may do 100bpa .My best guess right now would be a county avg of 75-80bpa.Oh just started using this site thanks to all for the informative post. | |
