I have always agreed with not selling deferred months until there is a good carry. A lot of years I have sold Dec. and when harvest gets going there has been more carry so I have then rolled it to March, May or July. If we are short corn this year like we were last year maybe we should sell July or May now and hope there is an inverse the same as last year and then we could roll the contract backwards. It work for me a couple of times last year. If you can sell May for 7 cents more then Dec now and then roll it back at a 10 cent inverse you are going to gain 17 cents. I am not going to do it all one way but I think I might split some sales up expecting an inverse.
