Subject: RE: at some point maybe?

onida, south dakota

a million acres is small percentage

it might not make sense for you to make lots of sales but it might make sense to buy puts or protect yourself because we all know supply is getting smaller each day.........but what we don't know or really can't put a good pencil to is how will demand react to higher prices............how much demand have we curved?

is it possible that we have curved demand more then supply?

i think i will get serioiusly bullish once buyers show a strong interest in buying grain from me................that isn't the case right now..............

take a look at the spring wheat market or the sunflower market last year............they show just how important demand is..............as both of those markets saw supply cut big time..............yet prices didn't do much

sunflowers prices for example hit a high of around 50.00 a cwt last summer........we followed that up with a crop that was a wreck..........smallest since 70's if i remember correctly.........but yet prices are half of what they where despite the small crop
