Hindsight is always 20/20. If this summer played out differently one would have looked like a "hero". Fact is, the brokers/advisors who are on one side of the ship usually fall off. Then you get the fence riders who sway in the wind. If one truly knew what the market would do, he would be placing his/her own orders and be sitting on a yacht somewhere in the carribean. I had a broker hollering all spring about the big planted acres. I knew the kinda shape we were in here. Low subsoil moisture coming off a bunch of crappy fall tillage. Guys got in super early, had some stand issues and subsequent replant decisions. Late planted corn is firing up because the soil hasn't been shaded and ground got worked a bunch. We might yeild "OK" here but it certainly won't be a bin buster.

Just sayin.
