Faunsdale, AL
You may be fine with most anything, but I would tend to stick with the sorghum/sudan. Any chance you could no-till it in instead of disking just yet?

The atrazine can be rough on oats, but the times we have seen it was with a pound/acre and after full season corn with just a dryer than normal year. Even then it only showed up in streaks from the airplane flying the chemical on. Calisto is labeled for oats both pre and post emerge, so I don't think it would be the problem.

Test for nitrates.
Sampling forage can be sort of difficult getting a representative sample. Got a shredder? Cut stalks in several areas of the field and shred them, mix well and sample, pack in plastic bag and mail. Or if you are willing to take the chance, go ahead and bale it (perhaps cut stubble taller than normal about a foot at least) and then core the bales so you know what you have.

Any chance you could roll the bales up wet and wrap them for silage? Good plan on several fronts........not the least of which is it will cut the nitrate levels substantially!
