Aggieland | My advice to you would be get a good chainsaw that you will become very familiar with. In our third or fourth year of drought we've lost about 20 very large oaks and this year I've already counted 6 that need to come down. Ive only got five acres of mostly woods and this is my observation. It's definitely a sad sight when these 100 year old trees just up and die. Best of luck to y'all and I hope we all get the much needed rains soon.
