Subject: RE: Nebraska water shortage this year ?

The aquafer in my corner of Nebraska is not running out of water. I rent a farm that they drilled the first well on in 1951 and the water level is still the same as it was then. It does fluxuate 1 to 2 foot either way on different years but when the NRD measures it in March each year it varies little. As I drive around I sometimes wonder were does all this water come from, I do not accept the theory that it is all rain water from the sandhills. There has not been much rain anywhere this year and if we stopped pumping our water levels in our wells would be the same as in March, it is amazing.
