| I guess I am just a sucker. Out here the seed has come leaps and bounds in ability to yield. Is it due to the actual gmo, in some instances it can help. We still plant a large amount of corn that is strictly RR. But the ability to breed in traits and tolerance in my opinion is incredible. We have corn that is 3.5 feet tall and starting to tassel. Went out and pulled a couple of ears and sure enough put on 18x45 ears. Now I realize we have a long ways to go but if we could cool off and get some more rain, there is no reason that we couldn't still have a decent yield. This is a year where we were over 6 inches behind annual rainfall and 7 degrees over temps for all of May and June. This corn shouldn't even be alive. So I will keep drinking the kool-aid for now. | |
