Subject: Re: Tundra vs Ram Diesel

I have test driven one and was impressed. That's why I'm asking about the towing thing, I have owned Fords, Gm's as well. The same goes with the family vehicle. The toyota we now have is the best vehicle we have "ever" owned. And by the way you are correct with the made in the USA. The ram was made in Mexico. We are in a cold climate. The first winter we had the ram it ran rough. I asked the dealership to check it out asking if I should be covering part of the rad. Answer: that would void the warranty. Complained some more... They found that there was NO thermostat installed. That helped but didn't fix it altogether. It ran great when warm but not cold weather. More checking discovered that the fuel preheat circuit wasn't connected. Problem solved. In my mind- that's the "made in Mexico" coming out. Not design flaws but sloppy assembly.
