north central indiana
No till has its place in drier areas of the world or some places wouldn't produce a crop. Don't know how much moisture is lost every pass of field cultivator but around here if you want a double crop after wheat better no till or there's no moisture left. This year wasn't moisture when I planted double crops anyways so should've disk my marestail and drilled and prayed for rain. No till has its place on rockier ground, hill ground and late fall winter wheat planting if its dry. 2 years ago only wheat that came up here was no tilled. Th guys that spent the time and fuel to work and prep their bed didn't germinate any seeds and failed to get a wheat crop. It has its pros and cons
