I was pretty young in 1974 but Dad said they had 36 days over 100 degrees. 1988 wasnt that bad. Keeping track we have had about seven days over 100 so far. Looks like what I have seen next weeks should be a little cooler but the week after we could be topping 100 degrees for several days. Getting scary out there. When the corn belt states are in extreme fire danger its got to be bad.
