You shouldn't have any trouble with the sprinkler as long as you monitor the water pH and keep it above 6.5.
What ever you use as a treatment the salts have to be leached out and thats hard to do with the same bad water.
A product to knock the sodium off the exchange site and a good long wet spell will help more than anything.
