Subject: Baling corn plants--dying corn

WCIN
....IF..... things persist, I have a 50ac field that is about 3' tall. I sidedressed with 40gal of 28% and HASN'T had any rain since planting. I suspect that the big nitrogen is not in the root zone by the varing color of the corn. It has 36# of N in row starter and 30# of N with preemerge chem app.

Question is: If it gets dry enough can I use a 9500 with a 925 to put in a windrow, so it can be bailed in round bales to feed cattle?
Where to get a sample on the plant to test nitrogen level to to make sure it is safe for feed?

I have 4ac of woods I'm thinking about fencing off for cattle and hogs.
