NW Minnesota | Well, hearing all this about drought down south - we're starting to get it too!! North of us in Walhalla heard they got 3" of rain (which they needed) but our beans are looking beat up and the corn is starting to strain as well. We are a week from tassel and beans are beginning to flower - not good!! Basically.... I'm beginning to feel what a lot of you have been feeling for awhile!! I'm thinking if a guy's pockets were deep enough, put tile and an irrigation in - that way you have both evils covered!! $1400+ though!! We had some storms move through yesterday morning but not more than enough to settle the dust at this point. I can hope the "Chance of Rain" turns into something... but doubtful at this point.
