Pontiac, IL.
Cold air goes down, Heat rises. It would be hard to get the cold off the floor IF you could keep the floor from sweating as previously stated. I replaced the furnace and air conditioner in my house (bad heat exchanger), Put the old furnace in the parts loft in the shop, One square duct above the furnace with a couple of large holes in it, mounted the AC unit (which was only 6 years old) outside, and it works GREAT.
