If the freezer or frig is not cooling and the compressor is running there is a good chance it could be the timer as mentioned above, if you locate it and give it a good two or three spins it could start running on it own again, it the freezer is cooling and the frig is not the fan in the freezer compartment is likely stuck or burnt out, both are a relatively cheap and easy fix. If you let it run a while and can touch the lines coming out of the compressor one should be cool and the other hot, if there the same temp the compressor is likely shot..........
