Subject: Re: watering trees

Galahad, Alberta
I planted 6 rows of trees in may of 2010. Each row was 500' long, with 5 different species and various spacing. I used 1/2 gallon emitters on 3/4" plastic line. I then laid down the plastic mulch over the lines and trees. I have the whole setup hooked together with a 2" banjo connector that hooks up to the water truck. I just go and get 1600 gallons of dugout water, hook up, and fire up the pump and let it go. Funny thing is, I have only used it twice in 2 years, just keeps raining. I'd go take a picture of the trees, but it is raining again right now. For what you are doing, I'd just drill some little holes in your plastic line and hook up the garden hose.
