You sure the short stuff wasn't replanted? Would have same "first" planting date and would possibly get better by trees. JK. We replanted corn that washed out about 10 days after first time and was really small compared to what wasn't and yesterday checked it and it was 5' tall and non-replanted was 6' tall and all will die without rain in 2 weeks.
