Ethridge, TN | Had just as well move onto soybeans while this is being discussed.
Currently have the best stand of double crop beans I've seen........BUT......another week of this heat and no real moisture, and this bean crop is going to go down the tubes. These small beans have no way of developing enough root to get to any deep moisture that "might" be there. Bi-foliate, to attempting to shoot the first tri-foliate, and they are wilting really bad in the afternoon heat. On some of the ridges, they are about to die.
Saw some nice cloud banks today, but there is not enough moisture in the area to build anything. | |
