Takes less man power to bale vs chopping. Also there's generally more local baling equipment available that likes work. Get a nitrate test on your standing corn thus gives you an idea where your at. Ensile the bales that are hot N. The safe stuff just bale it OR graze it. Sone burnt corn just turn cows in and they'll eat most All of it ie best way of harvesting actually.
