| The 4L80E first went into service in 1991 in some applications. The 4L60E was in 1993.

The 4L60E could be found in the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks up until 2000, as long as the engine was a 5.7 or smaller. Going by the chart, the 4L80E would be found in all 1 tons since at least 1993.
