Audrain County, Missouri | Ethanol plant is still running strong and lost 60 plus cents in the basis last week so must be fairly comfortable with their current position. It's going to be a little tough to source local corn in the spring and summer of 2013, though. I've been through a few dry years, but this one is off the charts for us. Really kind of suprised the corn has lasted as long as it has, as our water holding capacity is weak. The last pic is on Highway 54/19 just south of town, so that's probably one of the bad ones everyone sees on the way to the Lake. | |
