Those NH3 companies are just plain ripping off the farmers. Retailers probalby using it as an excuse to grab a little extra also. Natural Gas is 80% of the cost to produce the NH3. Natural Gas has been dirt cheap for a few years. Natural Gas started coming down in price in 2008 and basically has been decreasing ever since.
