We're in Des Moines again this wk end for kids baseball tourney so I missed out on being at home to enjoy us getting our 1st good rain in June! Last real mst. was the last day of May when I got .7" South of us in the Washington area they have gotten good rains that we have missed here.
Here in the D. Moines area we got rained out just as the kids game was to start at 3 PM. Seemed at least an inch as it rained for an hr. Called home and my daughter said it was raining lightly even as radar showed yellow on top of them. Radar amounts showed heavier amount in a narrow band over my place and just to our N. it stayed on the lighter side. Radar indicates that heavy amounts kept following the same path for quite awhile. We were extremely dry in my immediate area so I'm hoping to see a little mud when we get home. Coming to D. Moines we saw a lot more corn tasselling the further west we went. The corn looked good west of Williamsburg at 80 mph. Time will tell how much damage was done in in eastern Ia.
