McLeod County, MN
I believe for whatever reason they turned it into a double pro 197-31 and smartstack 197-33. According to my dealer they kinda like to do that. 196-06 I heard was either going to be a double pro or a smartstack next year. My personal feeling, I want a corn that is shorter. Less plant for the wind to catch, not as much trash to bury, and I really believe when water and nutrients are scare the shorter plants do a better job of grain fill.

Here is more indepenent data from MN Corn growers association.
