Central NSW, Australia | Yes I do Ham! Here in the central west of NSW I see echidnas periodically. I have always been intrigued by my dogs' reaction to them. They bark incessantly and paw the ground for hours if I don't intervene. Pretty much every dog I've had over the years has exhibited similar behaviour. I find it odd considering that because the echidnas "ball up" and dig into the ground the dogs never get any joy. I would have thought that the dogs would quickly learn to ignore them, but not so. How do your dogs react?
