High Springs, Florida | Looked on the Suwannee River Management District's website and they predict river levels to reach flood stage at some gauges, by July 1st. This will affect a lot of folks with potential flooding problems as well, if predictions come true.
Probably most of those newer developments drainage systems were engineered for up to 6" of rainfall, not 16". Sad that folks only recourse is to "walk away" from their mortgage obligations in situations like this. Too bad our government can't help with these kind of domestic things. $100 million to Haiti for earthquake relief, no problem. | |
