How about using a travel agent? A friend went on his own a while back and found out the "good deal" was not all inclusive. Not such a good deal anymore and no one to blame. I've always used an agent. You do need to know what type place (high rise vs thatched roof type) and what your price range. The larger the resort the more restaraunts, etc.
