Winkler, Manitoba Canada | Base station is set on a bracket bolted to the peak of the pole barn at the moment. Seems to work fine at that location and have not noticed any multipath issues off of the bins in the background. We have a lot of trees around the yard as well as tree rows in quite a few of our fields. Single tree rows do not seem to be too big of a problem for the 900 MHz radios to penetrate. Solid bush is much tougher and we have used a repeater to get around that issue. Reliable range in our conditions seems to be about four miles. We still need to use a portable base for a quarter that is about nine miles away, although I can pick up the home base some of the time at that range. | |
