BTDT, house sat for my brother while they were on vacation one time. Heard the chirping and looked all over for the thing. Replaced the battery in the one that I thought was bad, still kept chirping. Drove me crazy. Turned out to be a different unit in their bedroom but the sound echoed to the front of the house.
Smoke detector chirping?
