Central MN | My Dad put cement board siding on his house and it looks great ( don't know the brand we just call it cement board). He has cement board shakes on the top by the peaks and regular siding the rest of the way. I think it looks much better than the vinyl I have on my house. I also think the cement board made the house quiter inside compared to the Masonite that was on it. I have vinyl on my house and hate it. I feel it looks cheap and cracks easily. I also have noticed that if we get a strong wind, it seams to sqeek especially in the winter. If I was planning on living in my house a long time, I am putting on the cement board siding. | |
