Here in 88 it was long over by this time, lots of single digit yields in corn and soya. An occasional field of corn with alot of low ground might have topped 50 and there were very few of them. Probably went in to this year with less subsoil moisture than 88 but we have had more rain and much cooler than 88. I remember well making 9 half mile rounds with a 6600 in corn and deciding to dump just for something different to do. We still have decent potential with some timely rains and the cooler temps they are saying. Not a record crop by any means, not a 88 crop either at this point.
