| I was in your shoes at one time. Working a job or owning a business in the ag related field and farming at the same time is difficult. It can create tension as full-time farmers that you are serving can feel threatened that you are competing against them and will not do business with you. I even had a landowner tell me that since I had a college education and a off-farm job that he felt he should rent it to someone that didn't. Needless to say, the guy he rented that farm to only lasted on the place two years.... My advice to you is don't have livestock, and find a job that has no weekend hours until you get established farming. Good Luck! | |
