Subject: Blue Jet 4010 sidedresser

SE North Dakota
Have a 2009 Blue jet 4010 sidedresser set up as a 23 row 22inch. I don't really care for the way the wings want to plow the ground. This is set up with disk coulters with a spray nozzle behind the disk. Are the gauge wheels supposed to be running on the ground? It seems like I have to run it with some pressure on the wings from the cylinder inside the main bar to keep them from plowing the ground. Was just wondering if this is the way they are or if there is something wrong with it. Thanks.
