Before you go to wild on the valves.... check out hypro express caps. There are a few videos on youtube you should watch before putting on valves. These are standard on the new Rogators.

We have valves on our 4830 and still did a bunch of crop damage because of residue in the boom ends. I guess we need to rinse the boom each night. Not just when switching crops. It appears we had a solid build up of something in the bottom of the pipe. We could open the valves but the water just went through over top of the hard build up. When in transport the vibration shuck a little product loose and bingo we dinged up some spring cereals for 100' or so at the start of the field. Then it cleared up till transport and next field. The elbows are nice but they also keep you from looking in to see if the pipe is clean.
